Rocky Kruithoff

In celebration of its fifteen year, a seasoning of oil paintings by local artist, Rocky Kruithoff will be on display at The Timmel Collection located at 133 Main St. in downtown Saugatuck. This special exhibition will begin on President’s Day weekend and be for six weeks until the end of March with an opening the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, the 19th and 20th,  from 12-5.  Rocky is a multitalented artist that draws most of his inspiration from his study of ancient history. His artistic background includes teaching art history, and serving as preparator and facility manager at the both the Von Liebig Art Center in Naples, Florida and at The Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Rocky is originally from Zeeland. Having lived in Florida for 15 years, he moved back to Saugatuck in 2000 to become Managing Director of The Timmel Collection.
