Ed Huss

My work refelcts one of modern life's basic imbalances - man cut off from the collective unconsciousness. We have all lost touch with the beliefs, rituals, myths and magic that once defined us. Calm rationaity and reason leaves us wanting ... something that was here before. I am circling back to try and find some of these lost connections.

My figures are from a series entitled "A Feast of Friends." Totemistic by design, it is representation of lesser deities. Some resemble saints, sinners, shamans, and angels. Some are being rewarded, some are being punished. There are kings and queens, imps and demons, and many heroic and tragic figures whose true purpose has been left to the imaginantion of the viewer.
